Copying and fetching coffee are too lame for you? With us, you'll take on responsibility right from the start and can rock the apprenticeship as an industrial clerk with a variety of tasks! Many different departments will welcome you with open arms during your training and integrate you into their work. You will get an overview of all commercial processes at Testo Industrial Services.
For the perfect start, you will first get a taste of our calibration laboratories and learn about the technical side of our company. This will give you a feel for the services we offer and how the individual company departments interact.
In sales and order processing, you will be in direct contact with our customers and prepare quotations, order confirmations and also take care of data maintenance. You will learn about the world of numbers, data and facts from our colleagues in the Finance and Controlling department. There are no limits to your creativity in the Corporate Communication department - you will be involved in the implementation of advertising and marketing measures and in the organization of trade fairs and events. Do you love working with people? In our HR department you can help with employee support and the planning of training and development measures.

Our trainee Amelie talks about her experiences during her training as an industrial clerk at Testo Industrial Services.
Hey, I'm Amelie and I started my apprenticeship as an industrial clerk at Testo Industrial Services in 2019. Before that, I completed my high school diploma in the same year and then applied to several companies, including Testo Industrial Services. To my delight, I was invited to the interview. Of course, I was very nervous beforehand, but my excitement went away within the first few minutes.
Already during the interview, I felt the pleasant atmosphere and the friendly and familiar contact at Testo Industrial Services, which made me feel comfortable right away. When I received my acceptance letter, I was really excited and looking forward to new tasks, new colleagues and the training itself.
My first department during my training was Calibration Management Sales, or VCM for short. The employees who work here are in direct contact with the customers and prepare offers for them. This was also my main task in this department. Right from the start, the exact processes were explained to me very well, and if I had any questions, my department representative helped me at any time. This is a very big advantage in training at Testo Industrial Services. You not only have a trainer, but also a training officer in each department who explains the tasks and is responsible for you. But I could always ask the other employees and everyone was eager to help me. This greatly strengthened the working atmosphere and cohesion. At that time, I didn't feel like a newcomer or "just" a trainee, but was immediately an integral part of the team.
In the meantime, I have already been able to pass through several other departments: Sales International, Supplier Team (supplier and cooperation partner management), Operations Control Center (scheduling of our on-site technicians), Commercial IT, Corporate Communication (marketing), Logistics and Order Processing. What I particularly like here is that with each new department I get to know, I am able to understand even more about the overall process in the company and everything makes more and more sense. The newly gained knowledge from each department helps me immensely to master new tasks. It also confirms the feeling of belonging and that Testo Industrial Services is an employer that pays all-round attention to its employees and always tries to make the training varied and exciting.
Due to the Corona pandemic, we also had to work from home in some cases. At the beginning, this was of course very unfamiliar, especially because we no longer had our contact persons "right next to us", but now had to pick up the phone to be able to talk to others. But we were all able to get used to it quickly and noticed that it is also possible to communicate well with each other via other channels and that we can still enjoy a very good education. Even in times of Corona, I have always felt in good hands at Testo Industrial Services.
Through various varied trainee projects, I learn to take on organization and responsibility. I am sure that when I have completed my apprenticeship, I will look back and realize how much the work within the projects has shaped me and brought me a lot further in life.
I am currently in the Human Resources department. I work a lot in our applicant management system and am responsible, for example, for preparing job interviews. I'm also currently planning the introductory week for our new trainees and students who start their training with us in September. I am very much looking forward to meeting the new faces and hope that they will enjoy their training at Testo Industrial Services as much as I do.
