The GxP Lexicon - Definitions of GxP and Quality Assurance
This GxP dictionary explains most of the terms related to GxP, qualification, validation and quality assurance. It is intended to serve as a compact reference work and working aid for all GMP practitioners.
Efficacy, identity and purity are quality attributes that are demanded of products from the GMP-regulated environment. The term "Good Manufacturing Practice" summarises the quality assurance requirements from national and international regulations and laws. In the meantime, further forms of GxP have developed, whose scope of application has also extended to neighbouring sectors such as medical devices and life sciences. The complex requirements of "GMP compliance" give rise to a multitude of specific terms and abbreviations.
