Measurement system analysis (MSA according to AIAG/VDA 5)

Measurement system analysis according to AIAG and proof of suitability according to VDA 5 enables you to qualify and optimize your existing test processes in compliance with standards.

Measurement system analysis (MSA) is the standard-compliant qualification of measurement and testing processes. The measuring system analysis is used to determine whether your measuring equipment is suitable for testing a specific test characteristic and whether the measuring equipment is being used correctly.

Our consulting services in detail

Process description and analysis: In cooperation with you, we start with the measurement system analysis by first creating a detailed process description. On this basis, we carry out a process analysis to identify the relevant factors.
Model development: Based on the analysis carried out, a study is jointly initiated and a corresponding model is developed to carry out the measurement system analysis.
Uncertainty budget: Before drawing up the measurement uncertainty budget, we discuss the measurement uncertainty components. The measurement data is then recorded and the measurement uncertainty is calculated.
Proof of suitability: The suitability/capability of the measurement system is determined on the basis of the measurement uncertainty and the requirements of the applicable standards and guidelines.
